"Raw Honey" is the latest hit single from genre-bending New York psych-pop duo Dynasty Electric. The track is the result of a New Year's Eve Party jam session in the Indaba Music studio: "We were all having a blast at a party in the studio, so I pulled up the Raw Honey beat and turned on the mic and everyone just started singing parts like magic," says vocalist / producer Seth Digital. Featuring verses from Russell Simmons protege Luminahdi, the track buzzes with a raw fusion of electronic, pop, and hip hop. "The original inspiration behind this track is actually Raw Honey, which is pure, unheated, unfiltered and is an amazing natural food. You've never really had honey before unless it's Raw Honey. The band goes through jars and jars of it. The lyrics sound like innuendo, but they are actually about eating raw honey, which is a pretty sexy thing if you ask us."

"This video was a joy to create- a sexy, intelligent parody with a message. At the heart of this vibration is raising awareness about the declining bee population. Bees pollinate 1/3 of the world's food supply and provide us with one of the healthiest foods on the planet- Raw Honey. Save the bees!" says Jenny Electrik.

Since their inception, Dynasty Electric have earned critical praise and toured the world on the strength of their unique blend of electronic music, rock and hip hop. The group's first single "Hypnotized" received critical praise from the Village Voice and was featured in an MTV commercial starring the band. Dynasty Electric then worked with hip-hop mogul Damon Dash who paired the group with legendary producer Ski Beatz for the album "Golden Arrows", the lead single of which became the soundtrack for a Victoria's Secret commercial. The album was also cited by iHeartRadio, NME, and RCRD LBL.

The group's follow up self-titled album featured single "Electric Love", with guest artist Brian Chase of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, as well as tracks with DJ Logic, David Maurice, and Ski Beatz. The album received praise in NYLON, We are Hunted, and Black Book. The album's second single "Eye Wide Open" aired on MTV2's 120 Minutes and was used as the soundtrack for a national Bath and Bodyworks commercial. In 2013 Dynasty Electric collaborated with Indaba Music, a social network for musicians and producers, to create a new album "Euphoria", an international collaboration between the band and fans.

lyrics

Gimme raw honey
That's what I like
It's the best thing I ever had in my life
Let it drip down
Llet it drip real slow
Give it to me baby
wanna be in your flow
I like it this way
I like it that way
I like it anyway you wanna give it to me
I like it anyway you wanna give it to me

Every day day walking in the matrix
Tryin get a trying get a paycheck
From the beginning knew somethin was missing
I knew I was destined to get up on a mission
And don't quit it
Crush competition but I know it's not me
It's a power greater than the whole thing
I roll with it
Just remove what I thought I couldn't do
With my mind in position
It's impossible to lose

I'll show you three simple little dos
That'll get you on point
Have you makin all the rules
Eat your raw fats
Get your raw honey honey
If you wanna cop that
Getcha getcha $ $
Raw honey bae
Look at how move with it
This is how we do it in our crew
Let's go get it
Like your girl bae
We got the swagu swagu
Bring your girlfriend too
Let's go get it

Lick it lick it lick it lick it
Drip it drip it drip it drip it

It's like the birds and the bees
It's like the wind in the trees
It's like flying across the seven seas
On a warm summer breeze
Won't you give it to me please
We be smoking mac & cheese
Kush, big bud, lavender, s-s-sour deez
I'm the queen bee bitch
Yeah now I'm filthy rich
Kilo of the honey
Funny now life is sunny
And now we swimmin in the money
Raw raw raw… Raw Honey

That's what I like
